Estate agents are responsible for marketing and selling property on behalf of their clients. They earn their living by taking a percentage of the sales price, or rental, of properties.

Agents value properties, organise the advertising, show prospective buyers around and negotiate the price to be paid. Agents effectively work as negotiators, agreeing the
price and terms of the sale with both clients, and dealing with the prospective buyers when offers start to come in.
