First Time Buyers Should Buy Now to Avoid Stamp Duty
George Osborne has announced that the temporary exemption from Stamp Duty for first time buyers will come to an end on March 24th this spring.
The temporary exemption meant first time buyers were free of a 1% stamp duty on homes costing less than £250,000. It represented a saving of up to £2500.
It is still possible for first time buyers to benefit from the exemption, but time is running out.
