2024 Was a Fantastic Year: Price Growth Across Our Areas!

January Market Update: Key Trends You Need to Know!

Market Comment

2024 really was a year to remember at The Property Centre, and not just from a market/performance point of view.

We saw a record number of staff promotions, highlighting how well our staff training and development plans are working. Our hard work and dedication towards customer service was recognised by achieving over 600 Google reviews with an average rating of 4.9/5.0 and we received over 800 ESTAS reviews with an overall review score of 98%.

Proud to be consistently award-winning, in total we won 19 coveted industry awards, with the jewel in the crown being our Cheltenham Office winning the ESTAS award for The Best Estate Agency Office in the UK.

Looking at the housing market, we were delighted to be considerably above the national averages, as seen in the figures below. This was largely down to our skill and determination in making sure that we didn’t just put a house on the market, but we went above and beyond to get them sold. In 2024, we sold over 70% of houses we listed on the market. This figure is not only way higher than the local and national averages*, but equally it gives our vendors the confidence that we are without doubt the best agent to sell their home.

As later highlighted in this update, we have also seen a healthy increase in average house prices across all our key areas, again showing our commitment to obtaining the very best price for our vendors.

As we head towards spring, we expect the market to keep up this momentum. If you’re thinking of making a move, The overall predictions for 2025 indicate the continuation of a strong and healthy market. I would agree with this, having seen a very strong start to the year so far, with industry statistics pointing towards sales agreed numbers for the first two weeks of 2025 being the second highest since 2017*. Aside from this, there is still very positive press around further cuts in the base rate and, ultimately, mortgage rates. All of this points towards another good year and, from a company perspective, lots of staff training, development and progression, as well as possibly another award or two...?!is a great time, and we’d love to help. My team and I are here to offer expert advice and a friendly service to anyone looking to buy or sell in 2025 — so if you have any questions, get in touch!
