Serious Buyers, Strong Results: A Promising End To The Year
This month’s market comment is from Daniel Turpin, Branch Manager of our Worcester office.
November Market Comment
By Dan Turpin
Worcester Branch Manager
"November was a hugely productive month for The Property Centre as a whole, but especially in Worcester.
Despite the uncertainty in the market prior to the Chancellor's budget announcement, our whole team remained focused and determined. Committed to delivering the highest standard of service, we continued to work hard to generate strong buyer interest and maximise viewing opportunities for our vendors while matching buyers to homes that best suited them.
By the end of November, our office had achieved the highest levels of both sales and instructions at The Property Centre and are currently on track for record-breaking results.
We know there are also typically fewer properties available in the period before Xmas, but this means there is also less competition for sellers, creating favourable conditions for achieving a successful sale; post-budget, we're seeing both buyers and sellers more prepared to make confident decisions.
We also found that new buyers entering the market in November were highly motivated, which was reflected in the reduced number of viewings required to agree a sale. This aligns with seasonal trends, as historically the colder weather and shorter days in November and December tend to attract the most committed buyers.
Based on the positive level of activity across our offices in recent weeks, we anticipate a strong and successful end to the year."

House Prices Around Your Area
Overall, the property market has slowed a little as we transition from autumn into winter. However, average house prices continue to show year-on-year growth across most areas, though the pace has steadied compared with previous updates.

Our five Gloucester branches have seen an average 5% increase in sales agreed compared to last year, alongside nearly double the number of viewings—clear evidence of strong buyer demand. Our Longlevens office is performing especially well, with a 21% rise in sales agreed, making now an excellent time to bring your property to market if you live in that area.

Buyer interest continues to rise, up 4% on last year. With instruction levels remaining steady, bringing your property to market now could place you in a strong position.

Since the start of the year, the Stroud area has improved from being 4% down in January to just 2% down now, showing steady recovery. In contrast, our office has achieved a constant 3% increase in average property prices.

Continuing to thrive, Worcester has seen an increase in average property prices, and our office has agreed 6% more sales than at the same time in 2024.
The numbers above relate to the areas covered by The Property Centre, comparing January to November 2025 with the same period last year (data source Rightmove).
